Welcome to Connecticut Art School in South Windsor. In the fall we will be starting our 24th year of teaching and sharing our love of art.
Each year we have a theme that is the focus of our Annual Student Art Show and ties in to special projects and community events throughout the year.
The 2026/2027 theme is “At the Carnival”.
Classes run weekly from September 14, 2026 through May 29, 2027. Our program is unique in that it is continuous session to session. Once a student registers they are guaranteed that spot for the year. Skills build on each other throughout the year so we highly recommend beginning with us in September. However, you can join a class at any time if space is available. To learn more about our classes, click here!
Our school year is divided into sessions with breaks for Thanksgiving, winter holidays, and spring break. Payment is due before each session begins - there is a $10 late fee if payments are not received on time. Please read the School Policies page for more information.
JOIN A WAITLIST - Often our classes are full. We will gladly add your child’s name to a waitlist and let you know as soon as a spot becomes available. Take a look at the schedule and email us a request listing your class choices in order. We do our best to find classes for everyone.

1st session: 8 weeks

Closed Monday, October 12th - Indigenous People’s Day
Note: We will be open on Monday, November 23rd as a make up day for Indigenous People’s Day 10/12
Invoices for Session 1 will be sent by August 4, 2026
2nd session: 8 weeks
November 9, 2026 - January 23, 2026
Closed Tuesday, November 24th - Saturday, November 28th - Thanksgiving Break
Closed Monday, December 21st - Saturday, January 2nd - Winter Holiday Break
Invoices for Session 2 will be sent on October 26, 2026
3rd session: 8 weeks
January 25, 2027 - March 20, 2027
Invoice for Session 3 will be sent on January 11, 2027
4th Session: 8 weeks
March 22, 2027 - May 29, 2027

TUITION:
Annual registration fee - $25 per family.
Each 8-week session: $300 per session
All classes meet weekly for 1.5 hours.
With the exception of a sketchbook for Levels 3 and 4, all supplies are included.
Students in Level 3 and Level 4 are required to bring a spiral bound sketch book to class. All other art supplies are included with tuition. We use all quality art supplies and include a variety of mediums. We also recommend all students have art supplies to work with at home both for fun and for make-up classes. Some of our favorite supplies are listed here. There are no refunds or in-person make ups for missed classes. We’ll email you a video or provide printed material so your student can create and catch up at home. Please read the School Policies page for more information.
