Webkinz® Fun
Come play with us! These cute, cuddly pets are hard to resist. This week we’ll draw a variety of Webkinz®. We’ll also draw and paint special places for them, make some fashion or home accessories, and use Sculpey clay or Shrinky Dink to make them some friends. We’ll begin each day with by creating our version of a Webkinz® trading card. All Webkinz® are invited to

Cartoon Animation
This week is all about drawing! Each day we’ll learn to draw several different cartoon characters. We’ll include some classic favorites like Mickey, Minnie or Piglet as well as fantasy aliens, rockets, and robots. In previous camps our drawings have included Star Wars, Garfield, Cars, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Calvin and Hobbes, Snoopy, Shrek, Digimon, Hello Kitty, Goofy, Bugs Bunny, Sponge Bob and Nemo. This summer we’ll draw a variety of characters and learn about animation. We’ll make thaumatropes (spinning discs) and flip books to tell our stories. Help us plan – when you register tell us what characters you really want to draw!

60’s and 70’s Mania
Celebrate the 60’s and 70’s with flower power art. We’ll draw and decorate Volkswagen vans, trolls, peace symbols, go go boots, smiley faces, and pet rocks. We’ll look at op art, Andy Warhol’s pop art and create some of our own. Fabric and Sculpey clay will be used to make wearable art!

Art Safari
Travel with us through Africa as we visit elephants, tigers, giraffes, lions and cheetahs. These beautiful and interesting animals will provide the inspiration for our drawings and paintings. We’ll pick one to make out of Sculpey clay. This week we’ll also make masks or warrior shields, traditional African dolls, and jewelry. The art, culture, animals and landscape of Africa is amazing. Come explore and create with us!

Egyptian Adventure
This week we’ll create regal beetles and learn about their strange and interesting history. We’ll look at Egyptian art and draw pharaohs. We’ll create miniature wrapped mummies with a sarcophagus sculpture (mummy case). More creations will include
canopic jars (with Sculpey clay), amulets, and hieroglyphic cartouche pendants with our names.

Key West
Sunset Celebration takes place at Mallory Square in Key West, Florida every evening. It’s a multicultural experience featuring
artists, street performers, food and a chance to honor the day. We’ll paint beautiful sunsets, boats and palm trees. We’ll also draw crocodiles and chickens – beautiful chickens roam free on the streets of Key West. We’ll paint on coconuts or make Sculpey clay creatures. We’ll look at beautiful lighthouses, Ernest Hemingway’s home, conch shells, and key limes for inspiration. |

Monkey Madness
Coconuts, bananas, a barrel full of monkeys, and colorful sock monkeys will all be with us at camp this week. We’ll be learning about different primates – apes, gorillas, orangutans, and chimpanzees - by drawing, painting, and creating them out of Sculpey clay. It’s bound to be a fun camp filled with creativity and more than a little monkey business!

American Girl Doll®
Back by popular demand - American Girl Dolls explore the past and enjoy the present. They teach us about history and the challenges and excitement of living during those times. They also celebrate being a girl, individuality, and imagination. This week is inspired by the dolls, their stories, their fashion, pets, and adventures. We’ll be busy drawing, painting, creating, and learning - if you have an American Girl Doll she’s welcome to join you at camp.
